Classic Kung Fu Movies
Classic Kung Fu movies are still being watch by the new generations today. Young audiences want to see how Bruce Lee started in his career and they want to see how Jackie Chan fought when he was still in Hong Kong and quite young.

Classic Kung Fu Movies
There are many other reasons why such films are still popular, and most of the Kung Fu legends that we know now have been in them.
History of Classic Kung Fu Movies
China shot its first film in 1905 and it was titled Ding Jun Shan.
More Chinese Kung Fu movies have been done after that, but most stayed in China. It was not until the 70s when China’s most successful Kung Fu artist Li Xianglong more popularly known as Bruce Lee, shocked the Western movie world, that China’s Kung Fu Movies were recognized internationally.
Kung Fu movies struggled for a while after Lee’s death in 1973 and it wasn’t until Jackie Chan starred in Snake in the Eagle’s Shadow in 1978, that the genre has made its comeback. The inclusion of humor in the action filled movie may have given the Kung Fu movie industry a greater edge. Jackie Chan then became the new face of Chinese Kung Fu movies. More movies like Drunken Master and Police Story made Jackie Chan and the Kung Fu movies in general the much needed boosts to get back on track.
Newer Kung Fu movies may not have the appeal of the classic kung fu movies, but they still have that certain uniqueness not to be found in western action films. The absence of guns and other blasting weapons is one of the greatest appeals of Kung Fu movies.

Classic Kung Fu Movies as Inspirations for Today’s Martial Arts Experts
The classics are undoubtedly the best. That is why they serve as inspirations for today’s generations.
The same thing with classic Kung Fu movies as many of today’ Chinese movies are either based on the classics or remakes of the classic.
That only proves that action film fans never get tired of watching classic Kung Fu movies. And they will watch and enjoy a movie even if it was a remake or a sequel.
Kung Fu actors on the other hand, would also rather make a name being starred in a sure hit movie rather than embarking on new territories. But making remakes or sequels of classic kung fu motives does not mean, the movie industry was out of new ideas. These remakes do have unique story plots and improved action scenes. Add the fact that the technology is more advanced now, you can be sure that the new releases are more high-tech with special effects that will leave you breathless.
